My Guiding Principles

I thought it would be a good idea to list my current guiding principles so that in the future I can look back to see how my values have changed and possibly also learn some things from my past self.  "It doesn't cost you anything to be kind." I really can't stand people who are rude to strangers for no reason. It just perpetuates a cycle of hatred in the world. Even if I'm in a horrid mood, I always try to be kind and reasonable to everyone around me.  "Pain is temporary but regret is forever." I actually just discovered this quote yesterday, so I don't know how long this principle will last, but it seems very resonant at the moment. I don't want to be regretful when I'm older of all the things I didn't do when I was young because I was afraid of the pain. I don't think pain should really be an obstacle to anything worthwhile.  I'm probably going to keep adding to this list, or maybe just do a whole new post if my principles chang...

First Blog Post

Hi there! Thank you so much for visiting my blog, I'm muy happy to have you here :)))). I've always wanted to keep a running blog, but I've never been sure what I've wanted to write about. I actually had a blog all the way back in eighth grade (you can check it out at tonymushroom.blogspot.com) but it's always been more of a funny public diary than an actual blog.  I'm not completely sure what I want to write about in this blog yet, and I don't want to limit myself to a specific focus because it may fuel my already rampant writer's blog. I think I'd rather keep this open and see where my thoughts lead me. I also want to keep this blog relatively informal.  Let's first go over some of the reasons why I'm starting a blog.  1. Lots of really smart people have blogs, so I'm hoping there's some causation in the correlation and this blog can help me increase my IQ just a bit.  2.
